Second Semester has begun!

With the new semester comes some changes at ASOU.  We will no longer have rotating homework.  Instead students will have math homework everyday.  Homework will be assigned in other classes as needed.

Child Development will start the semester with an introduction to the class and reasons why learning about children is important.  English will be setting the foundation for reading the novel To Kill A Mockingbird.  Biology will begin the semester learning about DNA, and then talk about genetics.  Earth Science is starting off the semester learning the basics of plate tectonics.

Let's have fun learning!

Happy Fall

Sunrise Lake Day was a great success, and now we are going to apply that confidence to our academics.  In Law we just finished the Chapter 1 test, and are studying about how laws are written. In English, we are finishing up our short stories unit and will start focusing on our writing skills next week. Biology will complete the graphing quiz on Thursday, then we will start our unit on cells.  Earth Science students are starting their powerpoints today about alternative energy resources. Keep working on using PPC throughout the day!!
